Compassionate Psychiatric Residential Care. Grounded in Recovery.
At Beacon Recovery Residence, we believe that every adult living with serious mental illness deserves a safe, structured, and healing environment — and access to the clinical support they need to stabilize, grow, and thrive.
We are a Residential Treatment Home (RTH) in Aloha, Oregon, operating under OAR 309-035. Our program provides 24-hour residential care for up to five adults with serious and persistent mental illness (SPMI), bridging the gap between intensive inpatient care and independent community living.
Every resident's preferences, strengths, and goals guide our approach. Residents are active participants in decisions about their care — not passive recipients of services.
Our staff are trained to recognize and respond to the impact of trauma. We create environments that promote emotional safety, trust, and healing — never re-traumatization.
We believe in each resident's capacity for growth. Our program focuses on hope, empowerment, and building the skills and confidence needed for a more independent life.
We work closely with CMHPs, outpatient providers, families, and care teams — because recovery happens in the context of a full support network, not in isolation.
A Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) serves as our Psychiatric Treatment Services Provider under OAR 309-035, delivering on-site psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and clinical oversight — coordinating directly with each resident's external outpatient treatment team for full continuity of care.
Every resident has a personalized Residential Service Plan (RSP) developed collaboratively by the Administrator and PMHNP, in coordination with each resident's CMHP coordinator and outpatient provider. RSPs outline measurable recovery goals, individualized supports, and person-centered interventions — reviewed and updated as residents' needs evolve.
Our daily program provides consistency, routine, and purpose — including medication administration, life skills training, recreational activities, community outings, and support for activities of daily living. Residents build practical skills and personal confidence toward greater independence.
Beacon Recovery Residence serves adults (18+) diagnosed with serious and persistent mental illness, including:
Mood disorders — major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder
Psychotic disorders — schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder
Trauma and stressor-related disorders — PTSD, complex trauma
Co-occurring substance use disorders with a primary mental health diagnosis
Residents are adults who require structured residential care but do not require inpatient hospitalization — including individuals transitioning from hospital settings, crisis stabilization units, or other residential programs.
